What data do we collect?

Microbid collects the following data:

  • Personal identification information (Name, email address, phone number, etc.)
  • Optional: Paypal email address, Venmo Username, Cash App handle, as well as other applicable digital wallet based usernames, handles and emails that allow Microbid to submit payment to you, the user/member or to receive payment from you the user/member.

How do we collect your data?

You directly provide Microbid with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

  • Register online at microbid.com or place an order for any of our memberships, products and/or services.
  • Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our message boards or via email.
  • Use or view our website via your browser’s cookies.

Microbid may also receive your data indirectly from the following sources:

  • Google Search, ie. google.com

How will we use your data?

Microbid collects your data so that we can:

  • Process your order, membership, payments and manage your account.
  • Email you with special offers on various Auctions, promotions or other products and services we think you might like.

From time to time, you may see a promotion, offer or Auction from a Microbid Partner and that promotion may require Microbid to share your basic user account info, such as username (ie. @username), registered email, phone number, age (if applicable), gender (if applicable) and location, with that Partner. If you agree, Microbid will share your basic user account data with our partner companies so that they may offer you their products and services or access to their Auction(s) or relevant promotions.

  • Currently, there are no Partners we are working with where this is required. If this changes, their info will be displayed here.

When Microbid processes your order, it may send your data to, and also use the resulting information from, credit reference agencies to prevent fraudulent purchases.

How do we store your data?

Microbid securely stores your data on virtual servers we subscribe to located in the continental US.

Microbid will keep your data as long as you are a currently registered member and up to 1 year after you are no longer a registered member. Once this time period has expired, we will delete your data from our servers permanently.

Marketing

Microbid would like to send you information about products and services of ours that we think you might like, as well as those of our partner companies.

If you have agreed to receive marketing, you may always opt out at a later date.

You have the right at any time to stop Microbid from contacting you for marketing purposes or giving your data to other members of the Microbid Group.
