Crowd Auction Drops vs Trickle Approach

Who Posts the Auctions?

Microbid is preparing to roll out two aggressive and distinctly different divisions - the Auction Drops Division and the Auction Trickle Division.

First and foremost, we created Microbid to help others turn anything into a crowd-powered Auction, but we're still in the early stages, so we understand that we ourselves have to do most of the curation and posting. We gotta show people the potential! And, we're ok with that.

1. Trickle Approach

There are TONS of "interest" centric items, goods and services out there, so you have to do and post those (if users aren't posting them themselves) because you can garner all those passionate users, but then you have to pay attention to what's going on in the world too, so that's where the "Drop" Approach comes in.

2. Drop Approach

For example, the upcoming HUGE NCAA Football Championship game tickets for the Indiana University vs University of Miami Football tickets are quite the expensive and hot item.

Then, there's collectibles, Restaurants are a big one - and finally (in no particular order), we're about to be aggressive with international - and make sure we expand in Britain and other e-commerce hungry countries across the globe. We'll probably do "Partner" subdomains for Spanish speaking and language specific countries so those partners can really run it based on how that culture moves. So, if you happen to see this and are interested or know someone who might be - let them know to get to us early and they might be able to run Microbid in their country!
